What is mindfulness and why is it useful?
Mindfulness is a way of being that keeps us focused on the present moment, and to how we feel and think in that moment. It encourages to ‘sit with’ our feelings and emotions, rather than run away from them. When we sit with unpleasant thoughts or feelings, they tend to fade away, like mist in the early morning. When we are present, we can learn to manage stressful situations better and reduce feelings of being overwhelmed. Additionally, we can also learn how to stay balanced and manage our workload, for the sake of our physical and mental health.
