MY BACKGROUND
In my twenties I studied meditation for eight years and through my regular practice I discovered I had healing abilities. However, I specifically wanted to find a healing modality that reached down to the very root of a person’s problem. I likened most healing modalities to that of simply ripping the leaves off a dandelion, only to find it has grown back a week later. Instead, I wanted to find a modality that identified the root then removed it, preventing regrowth of the problem. This search took many years, but then in my late thirties during a visit to Machu Picchu in Peru, I received a vision of what seemed to be a radiant and powerful Incan Chief who instructed me to follow the shamanic path. Years later I found out this type of vision was called an Estrella and it is the traditional way for a shaman to be called to the path (if you would like to read the full story it is detailed in my book ‘A Healer of Souls’ which is available from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com or by clicking here). I felt so blessed to finally receive this instruction and find my path after so many years of fruitless earching. I worked with Alberto Villoldo PhD of The Four Winds Society, Jose Luis Herrera of Rainbow Jaguar, Carla Fox (USA), Leo Rutherford of Eagles Wing UK, and many other shaman including the indigenous healers and Ayahuasceros of the Amazon jungle, the Q’ero of the High Andes (the descendants of the Inca and the Keepers of the of the medicine way), and the shaman of Lake Titicaca.
I am honoured to be guided daily by the Ascended Masters in my work – as an ‘Altomesayok’ – a shaman who works in conjunction with higher level spirits – (as opposed to a Pampamesayok who works with plants and herbs and land spirits or animals) I can work on clients remotely without contact if necessary and also work on them while they sleep to prepare them for their healing sessions. Over more recent years I have been invited to join the shamanic lineage of Australian Aboriginal Elders and granted access to their amazing and ancient wisdom which resides in The Dreamtime, so my clients also have the benefits of receiving healing from one of the most ancient shamanic lineages in the world.
As I help many professionals and business leaders with their personal and professional development in 2015 I studied at Nottingham Trent University’s Business School for a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) focusing on Leadership, and I am a Fellow of the University. Although I suffered, sorry, I mean enjoyed over twenty years in the world of corporate and personal finance, this course enabled me to have a deeper personal understanding of the daily pressures faced by C-Suite executives, business owners and professionals.
Over the years I have also consistently worked hard on my own personal and spiritual development (thus raising my energetic vibration) because I know that the clearer and cleaner, I am energetically, the more powerful the sessions are for my clients, and I can therefore assist them to reach higher levels of healing and spiritual development (many clients start on their healing path and then want to develop on their spiritual path – it’s really the same thing). Attending to one’s own personal development is I believe essential for anyone who assists others on their healing paths. We must ‘walk the walk’ not ‘walk the talk!’ The shamanic path is of course renowned for being an intensely challenging and arduous one – and for good reason -with great power comes great responsibility so training normally starts from birth. I can see so clearly in my life that everything that happened to me in my past was part of my shamanic training, but I just didn’t know what was happening at the time! Historically, the role of shaman is normally passed down through the shaman’s family line. Sometimes, the shaman is said to be ‘chosen by nature’ – the most common way is to be struck down by lightning (in Peru you can see many shamans with facial scars or missing ears where they were struck), or as in my case by the receipt of a vision – an ‘Estrella.’ It is also extremely common as a shaman to have an encounter with death (I died when I was seven years old on an operating table).
I feel so honoured to have been called to serve as a shaman and I have now served on this path since 2004. Over the years I have helped many thousands of people worldwide to heal their past, to help them become whole and create lives they love. l am in awe of this ancient healing path and am constantly amazed by how deep it goes to reach the root of whatever is ailing my client. It always gives me such pleasure and joy to see people transforming in their lives – often very quickly – and how wonderful it is to see the work positively affecting all areas of their lives, not just resolve the issues they initially wanted to work on. I know this healing modality works because I see the proof of it, every day and of course if an issue comes up for me I use shamanic healing for myself too, as I believe it is the best and deepest healing modality in the world. And the best part is that my clients don’t have to know anything about shamanism, or even believe in it for it to work (most of them don’t care what it is, they just want to be better!). As shamanism is a system of belief rather than a religion, it is suitable for all. And as it is said to be at least thirty thousand years old, we already know it, it is in our souls and our DNA.
I am also passionate about this path because it teaches us to love ourselves, unconditionally. And when we love ourselves unconditionally, we can love our partners, our children, our friends, our colleagues and of course our beautiful Mother Earth fully. When we address and attend to our healing needs, we also heal our planet. In saving ourselves we save the world, for as the ancient axiom rightly says, ‘As above, so below, as within, so without.’ What is inside us is reflected back to us in life. If we want to heal the world we start by looking within.
